Program Overview
In which role do you see yourself? Please roll over the silhouette.
Currently one of the most dynamic and important socio-political economic sectors, the international energy industry needs future leaders who are able to assume social responsibility and are forward-looking. For this reason, the "International Energy Management" Program boaches the issue of sustainability of natural resources and energy and places economic issues within the context of international collaboration. In six practice-oriented semesters you will get to know the communication between producers, intermediaries and clients from a systemic point of view. You will learn how to analyze and reflect interrelations from an economical, ecological and international perspective.

Studying Abroad

Paris is a great base for this program.
The program is internationally oriented: English is the language of instruction from the 3rd semester and it is mandatory to learn another foreign language, such as Spanish or Arabic. This philosophy bears fruit at the very latest in the 5th semester – when you are recommended to study for a semester abroad, during which you will gain credit points at one of our partner universities. Links to the websites of all of our partner universities can be found in the column on the right.

Project Phases
During your International Energy Management studies, you will have to cope with reading a considerable amount of literature, as is the case with every degree program. However, you will be able to apply your knowledge right away! Your professors will regularly involve you and your fellow students in real hands-on projects, such as providing consultancy to an alternative energy business or creating a business plan for an energy start-up.

Instruction & Learning
Our instruction is strongly characterized by constructivist didactics. This means that we don’t want you to mindlessly learn your lesson contents by heart, but we want you to truly understand the complex interactions between business and cultural life. In order to provide you with this meaningful knowledge, we integrate numerous innovative teaching concepts, for example role plays and simulations, current case studies, blended learning, excursions, and interesting talks given by practitioners from business, culture or politics.
Alongside providing you with subject-specific expertise, we attach particular importance to the development of your personality. Throughout your studies, we will help you to optimally foster and develop your personal talents. Groups are deliberately kept small, enabling you to develop a close relationship with your instructors. As a result, you acquire the necessary knowledge quickly and deepen it in fruitful discussions.
