Program Overview

Internship
At the end of your Bachelor's Program you will gain practical experience in an internship - three to six months in which you have the opportunity to put your knowledge and enthusiasm to the test under real world conditions – and which may even serve as basis for your Bachelor's thesis. We will help you to find an internship, drawing on our established network of contacts in the business world.

Studying Abroad

Boost your career instead of hanging out: we even have a partner university in Honolulu.
The Program is internationally oriented: English is the language of instruction and it is mandatory to learn another foreign language, such as Arabic or Chinese. This philosophy bears fruit in the 5th semester at the very latest – in the obligatory semester abroad, during which you will gain credit points at one of our partner universities abroad, e.g. in San Diego, Lincoln or Honolulu. Links to the websites of all of our partner universities can be found in the column on the right.

Project Phases

During your International Business studies, you will have to cope with reading a considerable amount of literature, as is the case with every degree program. However, you will be able to apply your knowledge right away! Your professors will regularly involve you and your fellow students in real hands-on projects, e.g. the creation of business plans or strategy analyses.
Instruction & Learning
Our instruction is strongly characterized by constructivist didactics. This means that we don’t want you to mindlessly learn your lesson contents by heart, but we want you to truly understand the complex interactions between business and cultural life. In order to provide you with this meaningful knowledge, we integrate numerous innovative teaching concepts, for example role plays and simulations, current case studies, blended learning, excursions, and interesting talks given by practitioners from business, culture or politics.
Alongside providing you with subject-specific expertise, we attach particular importance to the development of your personality. Throughout your studies, we will help you to optimally foster and develop your personal talents. Groups are deliberately kept small, enabling you to develop a close relationship with your instructors. As a result, you acquire the necessary knowledge quickly and deepen it in fruitful discussions.
