AFS Scholarship

You have been with AFS Interkulturelle Begegnungen e. V. abroad and were you enthusiastic about the many international experiences? Then studying at Karls, especially in the programs International Relations, International Business or International Marketing, could be an enriching next step for you.

AFS awards full or partial scholarships for our bachelor's degree programs. In order to qualify for the scholarship, you should have already participated in an AFS program.

For an application for an AFS scholarship we need the following documents:

  •      for studying at the Karls with the documents specified therein
  •      Letter of motivation with explicit reference to the scholarship for volunteers from the AFS, in which you describe your intercultural encounters and your intercultural commitment
  •      Proof of your participation in the AFS program

The application deadline for the winter semester is June 30. The selection interviews are expected to take place July.

During my school days I was lucky enough to be able to spend a year with an Ecuadorian host family with AFS. This laid the foundation for my great interest in other cultures and languages. Thanks to the support of AFS, I was finally able to study at the Karlshochschule. For me, this university is a very special place where many creative minds from all over the world come together in a relaxed atmosphere.
