What costs do I need to estimate for my studies?
We are convinced that the tuition fees really should not be considered as costs, but rather as an investment into your future. Still, it is crucial for you to consider the tuition fees, the living costs and the various means of financing them in advance.
The monthly tuition fees currently amount to € 690. You can either pay them monthly or annually. In addition, all students are required to pay a contribution of currently € 67.70 per semester (status as of 2016) to the student union (Studentenwerk) Karlsruhe.
Accordingly, the total costs per semester incl. contribution to the student union amount to € 4,207.70. If you graduate from your three-year study program within the regular study period, then, the total costs of your studies amount to € 25,246.20. For living and residing in Karlsruhe you should estimate approx. € 700 per month.
By the way, with your student ID card you are eligible to use the local public transport system from 6 p.m. for free every day.
Please inform yourself about possible scholarships and further sponsorship possibilities in your home country, too!

As the legal regulation is very complex it is advisable for you to get in touch with the responsible Department for Education and Trainings Assistance (Amt für Ausbildungsförderung) as early as possible.

"Decision of studying in Karlshochschule, was one of my best decision in my life. Personally, I believe the whole world can be experienced at this university. It is very international, open & full of people with different cultural background. In morning, I speak in English, by noon in German and by evening, I am learning French. This is only possible because this university is more like a community where every individual is part of it. And the best thing, even the professors & employees are part of this community. This helps in easy exchange of knowledge & information throughout the university. This helps me in quickly solving my doubts & problems regarding lecture, etc. And this knowledge & experience which I gain here truly helps me in making progress in my education & personal development. I am happy to study here, Cheers."
