Mick Petersmann works as a systemic organizational consultant in Network X, which supports social change processes. He also works as a lecturer on NGO management, leadership, intercultural learning and sustainable development.
Up until his retirement, he worked as Managing Director of AFS Interkulturelle Begegnungen e.V, Board Member of the European Federation for Intercultural Learning and was a member of the Management Council of AFS International Programs Inc. for many years.
Before joining AFS, he worked as an Organizational Development Consultant for the Ministry of Higher Education of Technology in Harare/Zimbabwe. At the beginning of the nineties, he worked as Managing Director of BUND e.V. ; amongst other things involved in the publication of the study "Zukunftsfähiges Deutschland" (Sustainable Germany). The graduate of economics gained his first professional experience working in management and marketing for several academic publishing companies.
The classical Hamburg native is father of three children, married and is a passionate sailor.
