Prof. Dr. Juergen Bernardo Donges is Emeritus Professor for Economic Government Sciences at the University of Cologne and was Director of the Institute for Economic Policy until 2009.
Previously, he spent ten years as a member of the German Council of Economic Experts, including three years as its Chair. For over twenty years he was a member of the Institute for the World Economy, including seven years as its Vice President.
His particular area of interest is Spain and Latin America. A business studies and economics graduate, he was born in Seville and is a regular contributor to the Spanish specialist press.
