As a student, I benefit from the fresh and unconventional perspectives that professors bring back from international conferences or their home countries. Incidentally, I have a direct say in the selection of my professors, as students at Karlshochschule are involved in the hiring process for new faculty members. This is exactly how I envision a university that truly embraces openness and interdisciplinarity.
